National Disaster Management Information System (NDMIS)

The National Disaster Management Information System (NDMIS) is a comprehensive online application, being developed to capture disaster damages and the losses effectively and also for monitoring of funds disbursal under National Disaster Risk Management Fund (NDRMF) and State Disaster Risk Management Funds (SDRMF) to States for relief activities in case of disasters. The online System will track the impact and will also improve data transparency, data availability, data authenticity and data consolidation at Central level related to the allotment and utilisation of SDRF and NDRF.

The online system has four following modules:

  1. The SDRF/NDRF Module facilitates update of expenditure booked under State Disaster Response Fund (SDRF) and National Disaster Response Fund (NDRF) by the states. It also enables update of the contributions (both Centre Share and State Share) made towards SDRF/NDRF.

  2. The SDMF/NDMF Module facilitates update of expenditure booked under State Disaster Mitigation Fund (SDMF) and National Disaster Mitigation Fund (NDMF) for the purpose of mitigation projects by the states. It also enables update of the contributions (both Centre Share and State Share) made towards SDMF/NDMF.

  3. The Sendai Framework Module aims towards capturing disaster damage and loss data and monitoring of targets A, B, C, and D of the Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction (SFDRR) across the country. The state and their respective districts will be responsible to enter damage data of local disasters. Besides this will enable to monitor the national implementation progress of the Sendai Framework for DRR (Targets A to D).

  4. The Situation Reporting Module aims towards capturing daily situation reports from all the States. The States will be responsible to enter data for situation reports on daily basis.
